General Service Whistle (Girl Guides)
Two-note, tube-shaped, chrome-plated steel whistle with a waisted tubular mouthpiece, two aligned opposite windows, and a cap with post and ring for a lanyard. Brass partition (slab) inside which divides the tube in two sound chambers, thus creating two dissonant notes. Attached to a cord lanyard along with a boatswain call. This particular example, was owned and used by Miss Lilla Smith of Little Garth, Blaisdon, who was county dairy instructor for Gloucestershire.
