Transverse flute in E-flatSide-blown flute made of boxwood in five sections (head, barrel, top and middle joints, and foot) with ivory ferrules and silver keywork. Five keys mounted in blocks and raised ring at foot joint (brass pins), with flat, square covers, and flat springs attached to keys. Fully metal-lined head with metal tenon extending into metal-lined-socket of barrel. The metal lining in head is loose and misaligned with the oval embouchure hole. All ivory cap and threaded screw. Cork stopper. Tenons are wrapped in thread. Nominal pitch: D-flat
