At left is William Tallman, who is alleged to have engaged in a love affair with Mrs. Patty and faces questioning regarding her murder. At right is Frank D. Patty, the victim's wealthy husband. At upper left is the signature "W. C. Johnson" written on the apartment house register by the man who rented the apartment of tragedy. Police declare the handwriting resembles Tallman's. At upper right is the brick with which Mrs. Patty was killed."
