POST MEDIEVAL COIN Post Medieval coin: Silver groat of Philip and Mary. North 1973. The coin is worn, however some detail and the legend is clear. Obverse: Bust of Mary, left with the legend PHILIP Z MARIA D G REX Z REGINA. The reverse depicts a long cross forchee over the royal shield, surrounded by the legend POSUIMUS DEUM ADIUTO NOS. Diameter 24.25mm, 0.55mm thick and weighs 1.76 grams.
